Why teach human rights?  How do we teach human rights in the context of World War II, the Holocaust, and the Cold War?

In this free workshop open to K-12 educators from around CA, we will discuss methods for teaching human rights using disciplinary literacy to support English Language Learners and students reading below grade level.

Featuring a presentation by Prof. Keith Watenpaugh, Director of the Human Rights Studies Program at UC Davis, as well as lesson plans designed by Fresno-area teachers! Lunch will be provided.
