The Freedom Mapping Project Showcase
The California Subject Matter Project is proud to invite you to a free, virtual showcase of The Freedom Mapping Project: An Ethnic Studies approach to project based learning.
We will share how educators across California contributed to developing a curriculum that coordinates a series of interdisciplinary projects that help students construct an understanding of:
- Identity (Personal and Community)
- Narratives of their community
- Envisioning the future of their community
We will also demonstrate how this project incorporates writing, science, math, social sciences, and ArcGIS mapping technology in order to support student learning.
