2025 - 2026 UC Davis College Corp Fellows

MEET THE FELLOWS

The UC Davis College Corps is part of a statewide #CaliforniansForAll initiative that provides students with paid, meaningful fellowships to address pressing challenges in their communities. Fellows work in key areas like K-12 Education, Climate Action, and Food Security, gaining valuable experience while earning funding for their education.

By being fellows placed in CHSSP, they provide the essential operational, research, and creative support that allows the CHSSP to empower thousands of teachers. In doing so, they directly contribute to building a more historically literate and civically engaged generation of young people, all while developing their own professional skills in education, project management, and public service.

Hello, my name is David Cayapan, and my pronouns are he/him. I’m from the city of Roseville, California, and I am currently a second-year student at UC Davis. I am double-majoring or double degreeing in Computer Science and Statistics within the College of Engineering and the College of Letters and Science. I like to study both STEM and the Humanities, which is why I decided to be part of the California History Social Science Project (CHSSP), as both of my majors are STEM. Being part of the CHSSP gives me the opportunity to pursue my passion within the Humanities while also having two STEM majors. Some other hobbies I have include programming, learning other languages and cultures, and going on walks.

I’m excited to be working with the CHSSP!

Hello! I am Harmony Aragon (She/her pronouns), a second-year molecular and medical microbiology student at UC Davis, minoring in biomedical engineering. History has always been a favorite topic of mine, despite my STEM-heavy path, and through CHSSP, I can bridge the gap between historical accuracy and research to K-12 education in the local community.
