Local Roots to Civic Connections: YCYCI Teaching Civics in the Elementary Classroom FREE Workshop Series

Calling all TK-6th grade teachers.  Let's dive into the archives!  Join your fellow elementary teachers for a fall workshop series focused on civic education.  This FREE Yolo County Youth Civics Initiative (YCYCI) Workshop will invite teachers to explore local history and primary sources for use in the classroom.  We will travel to the Gorman Museum of Native American Art, Yolo County Archives, Historical Society of Winters where archivists will help participants find new resources to incorporate in their classrooms.  At follow up Zoom sessions, teachers will collectively work on lesson plans and plan to teach with the new resources.

Please join us for one archive visit or the whole series!
