Inquiry, 4-12

Inquiry, Grades 4-12:

As inquiry is a central shift in the new History Social-Science Framework, its important that students are given ample opportunities to ask questions, dive into documents, and engage in academic conversations with fellow students. There are numerous ways to structure inquiry and this session will explore a few tried and true methods. The goal is to help students develop the confidence to ask their own questions, develop their curiosity, hone their critical thinking skills, and support their claims with evidence. Teachers will leave the session with strategy ideas both big and small, as well as primary sources to take back to their classrooms.
